I like my Impress and have been using it most every day. The coffee is generally consumed rather quickly and the unit promptly cleaned, dried and stored. Today, after making a press my BW wanted to go out for an "emergency" trip to a store. After that store and two or three other stops finally I was told this was lunch time and there we were by a lunch spot. After getting home I was persuaded to dump trash, pull weeds and so forth.
I found the impress sitting innocently by the computer. The brew was tepid but despite sitting for 3+ hours it did not taste overextracted to me. Anyway this was an inadvertent test and, of course, entirely subjective. Still, it was a pleasing brew and a reassuring experience.

What's a "BW"?
"Coffee leads men to trifle away their time, scald their chops, and spend their money, all for a little base, black, thick, nasty, bitter, stinking nauseous puddle water." ~The Women's Petition Against Coffee, 1674
