One note of caution -- or rather, care -- make sure to rinse/wash the mug as soon as possible. My daughter sometimes forgets -- weekdays I make her a latte in the morning, and she finishes it on the way to/at school. Sometimes, the next morning, it's empty but still in her backpack. No problem as far as the mug itself, but the plastic parts of the lid seem to have absorbed some odors . . .
Then again, mine hasn't -- but I rinse/wash mine out when I'm done with it.
I never saw those before. Fortunately, I have an espresso machine in my office, so there's no need to have a mug like that for my desk -- but if I needed one, I'd certainly get that one (based on the travel mug, it should work really well.)

I like the Trudeau travel mugs where the top screws into the mug with a gasket. It's truly leakproof when closed. The down side is you really need two hands to open it. Do-able while driving if you don't have to react to something immediately.

I like the ceramic travel mugs with the silicone lids. Don't much like the way most of the silicone lids fit and they sometimes pop off, but the ceramic cup doesn't change the taste of the coffee. It doesn't keep the coffee hot very long, but I like to drink the coffee as it cools. I used to have a Contigo stainless steel mug that kept the coffee hot the whole commute but I started tasting weird spring steel like flavors in my delicate washed coffees.
I saw that there is a Contigo travel mug out that has an inner ceramic cup but an outer steel liner, something like that might be nice.
I picked up this one, maker Decor Craft Inc., on clearance for a couple of bucks from Orchard Supply Hardware. I use it to drink coffee on my commute and I bring it in to coffee shops to use instead of a paper cup for a togo cup of coffee.

I've been using a Contigo ceramic desk mug for a month or so now and it's great. Heat retention is awesome (not that my coffee sits very long), it's the perfect size for my single serve Espro press and the base is nice and wide with a slightly sticky rubber that prevents slippage and tipping. The added bonus is the lid fits the top of the Espro press perfectly, so instead of having to put the filter/plunger in partway to keep it warm while brewing, I just put the Contigo lid on the press until it's time to plunge.
