We all love our coffee, whether its what we make at home, or takeaway from our local coffee store, etc.
We start off with a few, then gets more and more and gets more costly.. and to the fact we need to buy expensive machines at home, expensive beans, etc.

I am the only drinker in my home. I typically drink 2-3 coffees per day. Coffee alone I buy green. Normally I roast and consume 1lb a month.
The JMB I am just finishing I bought for $18 lb + 1L cream per month. average $21 per month. 60 coffees for the price of 10 monthly I guess.
Coffee, milk, cream and sugar I would spend approx. $250 per year. Chai concentrate and soy $125-$150 per year.
Total max I spend on everything per year averages is $0.91 daily. A cafe I would easily spend $12.50 a day drinking coffee and Latte's. Sadly before I decided to start doing everything myself I was averaging $150 a month on hot drinks.
Over the last 17 months I have spent just under $1,000 on my equipment. Since then I have saved $2,193

Well, I spend maybe €3-5 a month, but that's only because I work at a small coffee roastery, and I get enough for my personal consumption for free. And at work we do so much quality control that I usually don't need any more coffee when I get home.
And the money I spend is because I sometimes need my buzz when away from home and work, and have to buy a cup somewhere.
I guess I'm lucky that I get paid for drinking coffee. I have to do other stuff for my money too, of course, but a vital part of my job is drinking coffee. ;)

Beans, Machines and Cafe scenes: About $60 per month on beans. In the last two years I have spent about $1900 on equipment. When not sleuthing around under the guise of 'The Java Sojourner', and sampling espressos in visited towns - I will only buy about one coffee or espresso per month for myself made by someone else.

Well let's see. I am economical with my coffee and generally get the most out of my bags. I drink 2 doubles every morning, 3 on weekend days. with various guests this puts me at a 12 Oz bag per week. My subscription with Phil and Sebastian's is 750$ per year for 4 bags per month. A tad pricy but the coffee is well worth it and I have not yet discovered a a better deal in canada that will match the quality.
This year I am roasting for the office along with another coworker. I plan to start switching to roasting my own for espresso which technically should halve my coffee cost. But I only want to do so if I can produce quality espresso.
