teambuy $26

EDIT: Whoops; Ad stated $26 taxes in, but didn't see that $9.00 charge per unit for shipping.  Basically $5 off, free shipping and tax free.

Thanks for this Devin, I've been wanting to get one for a while now & here's a great deal & chance to act on!

I didn't register or go through the checkout yet, but I substituted Toronto in place of Halifax in your URL/link (as I live in Toronto), & the deal appears to ship from here then. This is $39.95 here from the Greenbeanery & around $9 shipping on top of that, so this is a great deal!!

Thought I could buy this immediately.. I have to wait & see if there's enough people to qualify??

"Payment FAQs
What happens after I purchase this deal?
You can expect an email confirmation receipt from TeamBuy along with basic instructions on what to do next. If the buy has not met the minimum yet, we encourage you to share the Buy with others through Facebook, Twitter, and Email to ensure it goes through so you all get it. If the buy has already gone through, then you will be able to access your ticket once the buy runs out of time. You can then redeem the deal by printing out your ticket or displaying it on your smartphone. Happy TeamBuying!"

I guess a person knows then after submitting your order that there's then enough people to get your product/deal?

P.S. "How You Get It:

Purchase your TeamBuy.
Pay shipping charge and enter in your address information.
Product will be mailed out to you once offer has closed."

No Prob.

I've bought a few things though team buy.  The business model is based on company's advertising budget used as a means to offer discounted items, so good exposure and what-not.  All the deals that I bought went through, but I think they keep the "I need to spread this around hype" going to try to get more exposure on various social media sites.  I'm confident the deal will go through.

Thanks Devin,
There's currently 30 Buys entered as of now, & 5 days remaining.

At the Greenbeanery for the $39.95 Aeropress, Purolator shipping with full insurance is $8.41 versus $9.77 with Canada Post (Expedited & Regular Post the same).
HST would be $6.46 for a Grand Total cost of $56.18 versus $35.00 all included ($26.00+$9.00 shipping), that's still a good deal & 37.7% discounted!

Craig,
I don't know about exchange rates, import fees etc but on another thread, I looked up the Aeropress and it was about $25.99 at bed bath and beyond, just saying.

Thanks Wayne for the thought, but they don't ship internationally.., & the BedBathandBeyond.ca for Canada doesn't have it.

I ordered & paid on Wed the 24th, but I guess I & all the others listed at the link have to wait till the deal is over in 2 days time, then they ship them all out. The expected shipping time: 3-5 weeks!, but for a good deal like (in Canada anyway) this you have to wait for it..
That means that if someone gets in/pays on day one, they have your money for at least a week interest free & you have nothing to show for it for a week + the additional 3 - 5 week delivery time.. {:-|

I'm not 100%, but I think the Paderno store in Halifax has these for about $40-45.  So the trade off is an extra $10-15 dollars in lieu of the shipping costs, as you could get it immediately in the store (if it's in stock).

Exactly. But that means ~$50 with tax, vs $35 if you don't mind the wait (ie Christmas present)

My Aeropress from TeamBuy.ca was mailed out on Thurs Nov 8th @ 8:40pm & I received it today Fri Nov 9th @ 11:20am, (less than 15 hrs delivery time!)., & only 9 days after the deal closed!

Looking forward to trying out a new way to produce coffee as I've read a lot about Aeropress brewing here on Coffeegeek, & I'll also look for the best deal on a Coava (by Able Brewing Equipment) coffee disk!
