Some of you may have seen this earlier this year. On the Science magazine website there was an article about research into the physics of spilled coffee, relating the tempo of the gait of the person carrying the cup, typical mug size, etc. They figured out (!) that leaving some space at the top of the mug and walking more slowly reduced spillage. Have a cup (not filled too close to the top) to celebrate.

Even though I'm careful and walk very slow, I'm always spilling some coffee when I bring our two cups up to the bedroom in the morning. Need to get a couple of these.

The pathologically precise are annoying, but right!

Sometime, you start to think there's nothing new under the sun.... These have been used in Greece and other countries for years - Click Here (www.123rf.com) You can buy much smarter ones - normally brass - used in more up-market cafes. Probably search for traditional coffee house tray.
