Just recalling some old notes and things.  Some of the funnier things:

-Brew a cup of green coffee.  Try describing the taste.

-Brew a cup of coffee.   Re-brew the spent grounds with similar brew ratio.  Repeat a second time.  Repeat a third time.  Continue until you have completed this 10 times.  Yes, you'll need 10 coffee cups.  Make sure you use 205°F brew water.  Start with the first cup and taste each of the cups.  Remark on the color of the 10th rebrewed cup.  LOL

-Make 6 different bean types and roasts as cold-brewed coffee - all at the same time.  Taste and compare.

-Mess up a roast by making it only half way through 1st crack, and abort the roast back to fully cool (the only default on a Behmor if you have some small beans drop into the tray and nearly burn) - not wanting to waste coffee, re-roast the batch.

I've done the reroast thing; the beans come out very oily and very shiny.  Anyone up for doing the grind green and taste test with unprocessed Kopi Luwak?

Haha! That made me laugh!

A coworker of mine, knowing my enthusiasm for coffee (and, more importantly, knowing that I keep a grinder and French Press at work), shared some (roasted) Kopi Luwak with me.

The smell never quite went away on my equipment, after a month and a pretty thorough cleaning...

-Brew up some coffee.  Cool it in the fridge.  Put it in a sealed container in the freezer, but DO NOT FREEZE IT, just get it to 34°F.  Attach to CO2 at 50PSI and carbonate it.  Enjoy.

-Roast green coffee to approximately 325 F and purposefully bake it for about 5 minutes. Drop, cool, grind coarse. Brew with malted barley mash, make alt coffee beer. (Still working on this one. Gotta get my beer-brewing-brother to actually commit this year!)

This looks seriously interesting.  I know they have those soda pop makers at Macy's now.  With a little sugar or splenda that could be a very interesting drink.  I

interesting approach.  Beers made with coffee typically have the coffee added after the mash, not during.  I'd probably be up for tasting one if it were done this way, but I wouldn't expect it to be very drinkable, given the coffee would be WAAAAY over-extracted.

-Make a stale coffee sample.  Grind some coffee, then set it out in a shallow bowl and brew it in a week.
