...look at the bottom of your cup/mug when you go to a cafe? Habit of mine...I used to collect restaurant-grade china. The heavy stuff that'll break your foot if you dropped it. I check the maker's mark for the good stuff...Homer Laughlin is my Achilles heel. Gave IHOP .99 for one of their mugs. Fire King is another. Most of my collection ended up in either League City or Bulverde, though, and I'm left with only a handful. Sad, sordid tales, which I won't go into. I do get looks, though, when I'm caught looking at the bottom of my plate when I'm finished with my meal.

I don't know if you'd bother with Tuxton, but Waffle House serves coffee in their mugs. I've got one at home (sentimental about the waffles, not the coffee), and my feet are certainly wary of it. A Westford China diner-style mug with Intelligentsia's logo on the side is the other heavyweight in the cupboard around here.
