Posted Sat Jun 30, 2012, 11:58pm Subject: Berkely & Jenson Columbian Supremo
This is below the typical level of coffee discussed here, but has anyone tried the Berkley & Jenson Columbia Supremo whole bean coffee available at BJ's Warehouse? How is it?
How does it compare to Eight O'Clock Bean Columbian Whole Bean, as a comparison point?
BJ's gets fresh coffee like once a month............roast date is on the back of bag.........the kona/el salvador is nothing special........i have not bought their colombian supremo..............i like the 8'o clock......but 7.50 for 11oz nooooo................17.99 for 2.5 lbs. for BJ's is good......so over all BJ's is a winner for me (when i get too lazy to roast).....go for it!!!
Heads up on spelling: Colombia is the country, Columbia is the name of an awful lot of cities, a river, and the feminine icon for the USA.
That said: BJs? Stale coffee should taste fairly similar to stale coffee, no? I haven't tried it, but I'm confident enough that both B&J and EOC will taste quite like "coffee", in the most indistinct way typical of old bagged beans.
