Well everything has to be taken in moderation. There are debates whether coffee is good or bad for our health. But right now, drinking coffee is giving us lots of perks. We just have to determine the right amount of daily intake.

Somewhere I read also that coffee consumption in the US is about 1/2 of what it was in the 1950's.

Coffee is good for you. It prolongs life according to a British study of hundreds of thousands of persons. This was a major study and was first published about 5 days ago. There is a reason that decades ago coffee drinking studies found it bad for health, but since the automatic drip coffee makers became the most widely used machine the studies have found it good for health. I agree with the many doctors who have been on record with their guess that filters is that reason. I even filter turkish coffee after brewing it, removes the foam but I don't care, a longer life on Earth is worth it to me. People who avoid coffee do so at risk to their health, is my admitedly extreme opinion.

we are all addicted to something. It depends on how you define an addiction. some ppl do skydiving, because they enjoy the endophine rush it gives them. They could be said to be addicted to this natural high. Ppl get addicted to work, drugs, love & all manner of other things. If you say you love something wwhere is the line in being addicted to that thing? Normally an addiction is where it has detrimental effects on other aspects of your life, so if you miss paying rent to buy coffee or sneak about behind your partners back to go to your coffee house alone then you have problems. but in a world where coffee is legal & cheap(ish) then i'd only worry about that $500 dollar crack habbit you have :) i hope ppl realise im joking, about the crack bit!
