On a side note, I find most commercials very offensive and sexist anyway. Why is the man always the doofus and the woman the wise one who knows best and gets the fool of a man to do something "good" for him, by her, without the man being the wiser?

Clear reverse sexism but THAT is OK.

Maybe the man wants to make it look like he is a doofus and have the woman being the smart one so that he can get in her pants.

I'm sending the above to Rush Limbaugh, maybe he can use it on his next show.

LOL, I'm sure he really does not want a "French Press" near his manly man brew.

Really hate to bring back such an old thread - but it seems to fit here better than starting a new one.

Has anyone seen their latest commercial?

The one where a guy comes into a restaurant, and confronts a couple seated at a table -- then goes on a tirade about how he doesn't want a "plunger" (french press) near his coffee?

Drives me crazy everytime I see it.  Tried to find a video, with no luck. Found a couple of blog rants about it - but not the actual commercial. ..

My first thought when I saw this commercial for the first time was that somebody must be feeling some serious pressure from actual GOOD coffee!

Viva la plunger!

I recall how some locals would react to anyone selling decent coffee in this area.

"Oh you go that fancy Gore May ( translates as Wussy Stuff) Coffee Heh Heh"

Well, I guess you could refer to it that way.

"Even got that X presso stuff"  (What kind of weak ass man drinks from a demitasse)

Yep, how about I make you one, or a real good cup of coffee ?

"Oh Lord no, hell that stuff's too strong for me.  Take your durn head off.
