Subject: How to Know the Coffee Roaster Capacity

Hi All, I am new to this forum, this is my first thread, I bought Probat coffee roaster for my shop, I do not know what size it is, a manual came with it but the manual it is for G45-G150 models, and the roaster does not specify any thing.

Someone told me you can know from the drum size the dimensions (diameter 95 cm, length 120 cm).

Can some one shed some light here about this subject or direct me where to start.

I am going to rebuild the machine and make it fully computerized.

Thanks All

I have a Diedrich 1kg roaster and my drum is around 1/5th the size of yours, my rough guess is you have a 5kg drum. Probably worth an email to Probat and asking over at http://www.home-barista.com/forums/ there are a few their that are very knowledgable about restoring older roasters.

Dallis Bros appear to have restored on last year. You might try checking with them: http://www.dallisbroscoffee.com/contact-us/

Some other blogs and blurbs on the Googles say it's good for 20-45 kg. For the record, I only searched G45 as the model, as presumably it's one or the other, not both. as there doesn't seem to be a G15 at all.

the thing that i do not know whether it is g45 or g150, but my guess it is either 60KG or 80KG or 100KG or 120KG but not less than 60KG, becasue my friend have 60KG roaster and my machine is bigger but i want to know exactly, i love if some one knows how to do the calculations.
