I have been busily working on said iPhone application, and would appreciate your feedback. You can get a feel for where the app is heading at this web page. These are very rough prototype screen shots and descriptions of functionality. End graphics would be much more stylized. You are welcome to post your thoughts here as a community discussion, or contact me privately via my web form.

I will be accepting a limited number of beta testers. If you have an iPhone or iPod touch (will work on iPad, but would be small screen or 2x display mode), and have time to test and share your results, please contact me via my web form.

Thanks for sharing your time and thoughts. I hope this will be a useful tool for coffee lovers everywhere.

Nice! I like the attitude if you can't get it then make it.

The app is almost ready for beta. For potential users, I'd like to get your input. I plan to include a means to have flavors, cupping ratings, and brew settings. I can make that accessible via two different means:
  1. Set them at the coffee level. They are one click from the coffee, but you can only have one setting per coffee.
    Coffee > Flavors

  2. Create a log, allowing multiple instances for each coffee. The drawback of this is you would need to take another step to create a log that is dated that contains the settings.
Coffee > Log > Add Log > Flavors

Thoughts?

Any updates on this? I've been looking for an app like this, but am woefully unskilled at da coding.
edit: Never mind... Follow the linkage in a previous post.  Derf.

The app, named Coffee Journal, has been submitted to the iTunes App Store for approval. Assuming all goes well, it will be available within a few days. For the time being, you can have a look at the Coffee Journal app web page I've posted to get an idea of the functionality, look-and-feel, etc. Thanks for your interest.

Subject: Re: Coffee Journal Now on iTunes App Store

Hi fellow Coffee Geeks. My Coffee Journal app for iPhone and iPod touch was approved by Apple today and is now on the iTunes App Store. It's $.99 for a limited time.

I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. I hope some others get as much use out of it as I am. If you like it, I would greatly appreciate you letting your friends, family, and co-workers know about the app, as well as posting on any social networks you participate in. There are over 500,000 apps on the iTunes store now, so it's really difficult for an indie developer to get noticed above all the noise.

I look forward to your feedback, and appreciate your help and support.
