CG members might be interested in a conference on "The Moral, Economic, and Social Life of Coffee," to be held at Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, October 31-November 1. Participants include Kenneth Davids, George Howell, Geoff Watts, Price Peterson, growers and exporters, researchers on the plant and birdlife, professors who speak without jargon, etc. The web site is www.coffeeconference.org
