Would you rather have a cup made from a well seasoned / used aluminium moka pot, or a new stainless steal moka pot? Why?

SS is far less reactive to coffee acids than Aluminum, so will impart less 'metalic taste', and will last longer. Use the stainless and recycle the aluminum. (this from one who has never tasted coffee from either one)

Do you currently have a well seasoned / used aluminum moka pot and are considering getting a new stainless one?

Frost is right--and I've had many cups from both types.

When I was first getting into this coffee thing I was making faux cappuccini with my friend with an aluminum Bialetti (moka pot) and an Aerolatte. (!)

I soon realized how bad of a taste the aluminum imparted and I bought myself my first Bialetti--stainless steel, of course.

Furthermore, the aluminum has a ghetto feel to it and it looks awful after a few dozen uses.

No doubt--go SS.
