So, a number of Starbucks locations are closing and I was wondering if anyone knew how to get hold of some of their used equipments?

Hi Sam,

Welcome to the Coffeegeek forums! {;-)

Yes, there were a lot of Mazzer Super Jollys & Mazzer Rios., La Marzocco machines etc & that were eBay'd by a company that snagged up tons of stuff called Tagex Surplus a couple of years ago & when Starbies was switching to Superautos.

Who knows if they'll do it again though?

It's probably just going to get redistributed through other starbucks. They don't franchise so I'm sure it's all connected. But even still, why would you want it?

Because on those Tagex ebay auctions, a Mazzer Super Jolly could be had for a special CG discount price of something like $150. When that limited time offer expired, they were around $200.
Clean em up & throw in a new set of burrs for $40 bills & you were laughing back then! {;-D
