Hello everyone,

I just signed up today.  I'm wondering if there is such a thing as a coffee container that you could also put your coffee filers in or on top of for storage.  Any ideas, suggestions?

thanks much
Kris

hi kris. i dont have a problem saying welcome to the forum even though im a newbie myself. actually a longtime lurker :)

i dont know of any storage item that is specifically made for both filters and grounds....you'd probably find a lot of folks use stainless steel containers with rubber seals to store their coffee...or perhaps tupperware. i personally use a vacuum sealer to store roasted beans in bags and keep them in a cool dark place for storage....my filters for drip coffee pretty much stay in the melita case they came in....i have to admit i only pull the drip machine out when company is around. :)

i would keep window shopping at different coffee places...perhaps someone has come up with a decorative tin or container that holds both.

good luck to you,

greg

Hi Kristine,

Welcome to the CG forums. I use a Swiss Gold permanent filter. Many believe (as I do) that the paper filters capture some of the flavor of the coffee. As soon as I am done with my coffee, I shake the used grounds out in the trash, rinse the filter with warm water, wipe out with a terry cloth and back in the machine it goes until next time.

Good luck
Jody
