How fine is "that fine?" I'm just inside the last quarter turn of the top burr on the I1. Not on the external adjustment knob, but the burr itself.
I've dialed it down to the point the Elektra choked on a double with a good 35lb tamp & polish, and then started backing it off until I was satisfied. Mark's right, the I1 does go through some coffee getting dialed in and settled, but the process is simple.
And, my stars but the Elektra makes wonderful steamed milk & microfoam!

As I'm quite happy to be a good cook, but have no aspirations to become a chef, likewise I am enjoying lovely espresso made from pan roasted beans - and have no delusions of barrista genes.
