I thought I saw this available for pre-order on the I Drink Coffee Canada website for $1,299 on pre-order.  List is probably higher though.

I chew coffee beans with my teeth while gargling with 195 F water to enjoy coffee. What is this "coffee brewing" device you speak of?

We do in fact have it at that price for the pre-order.  I do not anticipate it will be lower but if something does change we will refund the difference for all pre-orders.

I see now. This isn't a firm price (downward at least) but is likely in the ball park based on info from your supplier. The price is strong for this feature set.

i have no idea whether this will translate to equivalent pricing differential, but over on CS, in the BDB owners forum, they have been talking about Brevilles' top gun grinder, the bcg80xl "smart grinder", which the aussie vendors are selling in package deals with the BDB.  over in oz, the smart grinders are selling separately for about $300'ish AUD.  they are available here through major retail outlets for only $200USD.  i wonder if, when the dust settles after the BDB is released here, it might settle in on a $1000'ish USD price?

Coming soon (no date set)
1199$ (100 less than expected!)

Still no trace on the canadian website... Silly since the manual is already translated in french.

Clive Coffee sent this today,

"I'm sorry to inform you that we just got notice from Breville that they've pushed back the estimated arrival date of their new Double Boiler Espresso Machine to late November. We apologize for the misinformation, but we're at the mercy of our suppliers with items that are manufactured outside the US."

Smile, you may find that you get the BES900 with some tweaks, care of what has been found in Australia.

AND yes, OPV's that have not been adjusted OR have slipped pass QC  OR have moved out of adjustment may now not be a problem...

First off the rank is always open to being a live beta.

Checked the website, only a 1-year warranty for the US.  Somewhat disappointed in that.

2 year warranty in australia.  selling for about $1280 US dollars.  230 volt.   Click Here (www.powerbuys.com.au)

grinder about $190 US dollars 2 year warranty              http://www.powerbuys.com.au/breville-the-smart-grinder-bsg800.html

I think the grinder is a great buy alone. A few price drops starting here, as it is in stock now. Always a bit dearer here than our american friends, but good to see a two year relacement guarantee.   cheers jennifer

Hi, the BDB is on sale here in NZ for NZ $1,795-00 and the Smart Grinder (which I have just bought for $300-00) is retailing for $399-00.
The grinder is great and I'll keep an eye on the BDB and hopefully will buy one around Christmas. Cheers Matt
