I agree, thanks for a great article, it really gives an insight into the nuances of growing and picking the coffee. It seems like it's just as detailed and complex as the brewing! :D

Emily,

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this and share your coffee harvesting knowledge. I am interested in growing my own small farm of coffee trees in China, and I eat up any kind of information like this. Your coffee trees are beautiful! How do you manage the day to day operations of the farm while you are out of Panama, do you have a full-time caretaker?

Thank you, Jeremy

Emily, I am totally enjoying your articles about being a coffee grower.  I ordered two pounds of your coffee from you and they arrived two days ago. Matter of fact, I am sipping your coffee as I type this. Talk about fresh!  Wow!  The beans were still on the trees just a few short weeks ago, then picked, processed, aired and roasted perfectly. I really thank you for letting us have a direct route to the grower because, for me, it makes the cup of coffee I am drinking that much better. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I know what you do is hard work and I hope your receiving these kudos for a fantastic coffee is a small, intrinsic reward for all that hard work.

Emily, many thanks for this excellent and very informative article. Probably like most readers, I have focussed on the consumption aspects of coffee up to now. Your article really adds to my enjoyment, and I look forward to your future updates into the life of a coffee grower.

Coffee harvesting really needs patience. But it will all be worth it once you see the quality of the harvested beans.
