Heh.  It's a real peculiarity of the espresso machine industry that there has to always be some compromise with machines.  Reneka nearly had the perfect home machine ... and then screw it up by not putting a steam nob on it ... wtf?!

Screw it ... I'm saving for a Linea!

Keep up the good work, guys - it's well appreciated.

PS.  The blue Elektra's pretty retro funky!  Wonder if it's got it where it counts ...

I know that the shots looked pretty nice.  Maybe she was indicating that these shots were what you should be looking for in a correct shot?

Maybe it's just my crappy monitor, but it looks like the shots pulled unevenly. The left glass seems to have a bit more crema in it than the other, it's hard to tell with the writing on the shot glass.

What do I win?

(I hope it's aspirin, cause I had a bit too much drinkypoo last night. Although that cuban went beautifully with my Portwood scotch, thank you very much!)

Those are some awesome finalists....heavy in the west coast/PNW representation. That fella from Nebraska must be feeling ganged up on!
