Wow, what gorgeous coffee palace. I'm especially pleased to see your continued allegiance to vac pot (siphon) style coffee. I'm just looking for an excuse to get up your way and sample the coffee. I'm looking forward to the new version of CG, but this version has been OK by me. Don't forget to pay the electric bill. ;>D

I've been looking for an ultra-precise scale (.1 grams) to measure ground coffee in my portafilter. Could you tell me the make and model of the dual scales used in the CoffeeGeek Lab? Also, great read. I hope to visit Vancouver someday and enroll in one of your classes. Good luck!

I'm very much interested in the 200 and 300 level classes. How does one find out more...days, prices, etc.?
I was at your place a while back when you did a open house cupping of the top 5 CoE's for a podcast (I had a blast). It's only given me more of a desire to spend the big bucks to get a new machine and really be "pot committed"...however there's been two issues that have held me back: 1) the costs of a machine and grinder (I figure I'm into 2k if I'm going to do it...domobar and a rocky grinder or something of that quality) and 2) a sense of what it takes to tame these types of machines. I was prepared to do some time doing the trial and error method to figure it out, but now reading that you are doing classes, that would really get me up to speed with less frustrations.
