Most of we Malabar Gold lovers have tried countless espresso blends as well and have yet to taste anything that comes close. I personally have tried a half-dozen local roaster's blends, Sweet Maria's blends, a number of other green wholesaler's blends, etc, and nothing comes close. Only Vivace's Dolce and Vita are in the same universe, AFAIC.
As you know, MG contains some Indian Premium Robusta.

I really enjoyed your article and you really did hit the spot when you say that some people in the industry are full of it. A local roaster said to me once that it was impossible for me to "deep" roast my coffee with my home roaster (alp) , give me a break .... Concerning Robusta, I must confess that I sometimes use it in certain blends but never more than 10 to 15% of the blend and the taste is great. Sure is good in MG !

Wow! An excerpt from this was posted on HB today. Almost 10 years old, and still a relevant, well written article! Thought this could use a bump for noobies who might not dive this deep.
