How about setting a trend here and writing the article using both imperial AND metric units. The US of A is one of the few places on earth where people use imperial measurements, yet this site surely draws readers from around the world! (I am writing this from the Czech Republic.)

Mark... this glossary is a most welcome addition...and a most generous gift as well...thanks from all of us still learning....maybe this glossary will ease the learning curve a bit...but does the learning ever stop?.. I think not....ain't that half the fun???!! Rob
